Launching a New Era in Western Balkans Cyber ​​Cooperation: First WB3C Conference in Podgorica

On June 11-12, 2024, the “Western Balkans Cyber ​​Capacity Center Regional Conference” was held in Podgorica, near the Rectorate of the University of Montenegro, organized for the first time by the Western Balkans Cyber ​​Capacity Center (WB3C).

This regional-level event brought together cybersecurity experts, policymakers and officials from across the Western Balkans and international partners to discuss ways to increase cyber resilience in the region. The conference covered and addressed the topics of countering cybercrime, cyber security, the impact of artificial intelligence on security and cyber diplomacy; different views were exchanged, best practices were discussed regarding the critical situations facing developing countries.

Present from the Republic of Albania were representatives of the National Cyber ​​Security Authority (AKSK), the Information Society Agency (AKSHI), the State Police, the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEPJ), the Electronic and Postal Communications Authority (AKEP), the Electricity Distribution Operator (OSHEE), the Albanian Electric Energy Corporation (KESH), the Directorate of Cybercrime Investigations, the Department of Public Administration (DAP) and the Albanian Post.
AKSK congratulates the WB3C center for its mission to strengthen cooperation in the region in the field of cyber security.
