AKSK introduces the new cyber incident reporting mechanism according to the NIS2 directive

The National Cyber Security Authority held a meeting with several representatives from critical and important information infrastructures, in the framework of the implementation of the new Cyber Security Law and the requirements of the new European NIS2 Directive.

The meeting focused on the presentation of the new mechanism for weekly reporting of cyber attempts and incidents without impact, an instrument that enables the collection of updated data on malicious attempts against digital systems, increasing preventive and reactive capacities.

The Director General of AKSK, Mr. Igli Tafa, emphasized that regular and accurate reporting is not simply a legal obligation under NIS2, but a key element to protect our national infrastructures and to build a coordinated and effective defense against cyber threats.

This mechanism consolidates the cooperation between AKSK and the responsible institutions, guaranteeing a more efficient reporting system, a faster response to threats and a sustainable protection of the country’s digital space.
