The Director General of the National Cyber Security Authority (AKSK), Mr. Igli Tafa, participated in the forum “Cybersecurity in the Banking Sector 2025”, organized by the Albanian Association of Banks in cooperation with the Kosova Banking Association, as part of Cybersecurity Awareness Month.
In his remarks, Mr. Tafa emphasized that the financial sector is a key focus of the recently approved National Cybersecurity Strategy 2025–2030, as one of the main pillars for ensuring trust and economic stability. He underlined that the establishment of Sectoral Security Operations Centers (SOCs) will strengthen protection, enable real-time response to incidents, and enhance cooperation among institutions.
Speaking about state policies that support financial development and security, the Director highlighted Albania’s participation in SEPA and the development of open banking as examples of approaches that combine digital modernization with security and transparency.
