Albania rises by 22 points in the Global Cyber Security Index 2024!
Albania has made great progress in the Global Cyber Security Index published by the ITU, increasing by 22 points from the last report and positioned in Tier 2 – among the countries that are advancing rapidly in the field of cyber security. This improvement reflects the Albanian government’s major efforts to strengthen digital defenses and effectively address growing cyber security threats.
Where are the advances concentrated?
Albania received a maximum score of 20/20 in legal measures, indicating a strong legal framework that supports digital security. Also, significant improvements have been made in technical measures (18.38) and organizational measures (19.47), strengthening the digital infrastructure and institutional coordination for cyber security management.
Albania intends to continue the development of capacities and deepen international relations for information sharing and coping with cyber threats at the global level.
With these continuous efforts, Albania is prepared to face the new challenges of the digital age and to strengthen its position in the international cyber security scene.
