Albania at the UN Global Meeting on Cybersecurity

In the framework of its engagement in international cybersecurity forums, Albania participated in the Organizational Meeting of the Global Mechanism of the United Nations on Information and Communication Technologies in the context of international security, represented by the National Cyber Security Authority (AKSK).

The meeting, held last week on March 30–31 at the headquarters of the United Nations in New York, represents an important step forward in advancing international cooperation, building trust, and promoting responsible state behavior in cyberspace.

During the two-day discussions, UN Member States reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening stability and security in the digital domain, emphasizing the importance of multilateral coordination and the exchange of best practices.

In the statement delivered, it was underlined that Albania will continue to actively contribute to global efforts aimed at promoting a secure, open, and resilient cyberspace. It was also emphasized that strengthening regional cooperation remains a key element in effectively addressing shared cybersecurity challenges.

Albania remains committed to strengthening international partnerships and contributing to the development of a more resilient and secure digital ecosystem.
