AKSK Promotes Public Consultation on Two Fundamental Draft Decisions in Implementation of the New Law on Cybersecurity

In order to implement Law No. 25/2024 “On Cybersecurity” and prepare the sub-legal acts deriving from it, the National Cybersecurity Authority (AKSK) has organized a series of consultation meetings with stakeholders on two important draft decisions:

Draft decision “On the approval of the National Cybersecurity Certification Scheme”, which defines the procedures and requirements for the certification of information and communication technology (ICT) products, in accordance with the common European scheme for cybersecurity certification (EUCC);
Draft decision “On the Content and Manner of Documentation of Organizational, Technical and Operational Cybersecurity Measures and the Categorization of Deadlines”, which aims to harmonize and standardize the manner of documenting security measures as well as determining implementation deadlines, based on the category of the entity and the level of risk.

These draft decisions represent an important step towards the approximation of Albanian legislation with the legal framework of the European Union in the field of cybersecurity, contributing to the construction of a unified and enforceable system that reflects international standards.

The Director of AKSK, Mr. Igli Tafa, assessed the importance of the active involvement of stakeholders in this process, as a key component for building a functional and sustainable cybersecurity framework.

Representatives of companies that provide or produce ICT products and services, independent experts, public institutions, as well as representatives of critical and important information infrastructures participated in the consultations.

The discussions focused on the technical content of the draft decisions, their applicability and the practical impact they are expected to have on increasing the level of cybersecurity in the country. The comments and suggestions collected will serve to finalize the acts in a comprehensive and transparent manner.

Both draft decisions are open for public consultation and published on the official website of AKSK:
