AKSK and Non-Governmental Organizations Moving Toward an Inclusive Approach to Cybersecurity

The National Cyber Security Authority held a consultative meeting with non-governmental organizations to present the National Cybersecurity Strategy 2025–2030 and identify areas of cooperation between public institutions and civil society. The meeting brought together organizations working in various fields—from child protection and welfare, education and media, to innovation and technology, social inclusion, and support for underrepresented groups—creating an open platform for dialogue on their role in strengthening digital security and cyber education.

In his remarks, the Director General of AKSK, Igli Tafa, emphasized that the new strategy aims to involve the entire society in building a safer digital environment, placing at its core child protection, empowerment of underrepresented groups, capacity-building, and support for innovation. He highlighted that NGOs remain key partners for implementing many of the action plan’s initiatives and for bringing these interventions closer to communities and citizens.

Participants presented a range of suggestions for deepening cooperation—from developing joint programs on digital education and online child protection, to involving NGOs in trainings, awareness campaigns, support for startups, and initiatives targeting underrepresented groups. The importance of follow-up meetings was also recognized to further coordinate joint actions.

AKSK remains committed to strengthening its partnership with civil society as part of its efforts to build a modern and inclusive cybersecurity ecosystem in Albania.
