AKSK focuses on intelligent testing and early assessment of vulnerabilities

As part of its ongoing series of meetings with operators of critical and important information infrastructures, the National Cybersecurity Authority (AKSK) held today the third technical session titled “Proactive Monitoring and Simulation,” as part of the process to strengthen institutional capacities and enhance protection standards in the digital space.

Opening the session, the Director General of AKSK, Mr. Igli Tafa, emphasized that cybersecurity can no longer be limited to reactive measures after incidents occur, but must instead be built upon prediction and prevention. He highlighted the importance of investing in knowledge, training, and professional expertise, stressing that the true strength of cybersecurity lies in the preparation of specialists and the intelligent use of technology.

During the session, which gathered around 250 representatives from critical infrastructures, participants were introduced to the national platform for penetration testing that leverages artificial intelligence to identify and analyze vulnerabilities in digital systems. Discussions also focused on the role of Red Teams and new approaches to cross-sectoral cooperation. This initiative is part of the “AKSK ProActive 2026” program, which aims to strengthen preventive approaches and build a resilient national cybersecurity ecosystem.

AKSK extends its gratitude to the Geneva Centre for Security Sector Governance (DCAF) for its support in this activity and for the ongoing partnership in developing national capacities in the field of cybersecurity.
