On April 22-27, the 4th edition of the “UN-Singapore Cyber Fellowship” took place in Singapore. This event was organized by Singapore’s National Cyber Security Agency (CSA) in collaboration with the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs (UNODA) and the National University of Singapore.
The UN-Singapore Cyber Fellowship brought together 23 representatives from UN Member States. In this program, Albania was represented by the Director of Governance of Cyber Security, Risk and Control at NAECCS, Mr. Saimir Kapllani, who shared Albania’s experience in the field of cyber security, the progress and challenges we face to create a sustainable cyber ecosystem.
Participants had the opportunity to interact with Singapore government agencies, the private sector and academia, sharing experiences and best practices for joint responses to cyber threats.
During this program, a number of topics were discussed that include operational, technical, political and diplomatic areas such as: incident response, protection of critical information infrastructure, emerging technologies and cyber resilience framework.
The program also had a mix of lectures and field visits to the likes of the NUS-NCS Joint Cyber Security Laboratory, iTrust SUTD and the Nanyang Technological University’s National Integrated Assessment Center in Singapore.
