One of the most important components of the International Girls in ICT Day 2026, organized in cooperation with ITU in Tirana, was the series of parallel panels, which directly addressed the challenges and opportunities related to the inclusion of girls and women in technological development.
The discussions focused on topics such as the transition toward artificial intelligence, careers and leadership in the fields of AI and cybersecurity, as well as gender equality in the digital era and the development of technologies that work for everyone. These sessions created a concrete space for exchanging experiences and ideas on skills development and the role of girls in shaping the digital future.
In these panels, alongside AKSK, key partners and institutions actively contributed, including AKSHI, UN Albania, and the British Council, together with representatives from public institutions, academia, and industry.
A special note of appreciation goes to all partners for their support and commitment, which were essential to the successful delivery of these sessions and to fostering a meaningful dialogue on the digital future.
