On November 18, 2019, within the framework of the 30th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child and the European day “For the protection of children from sexual exploitation and abuse”, the State Agency for the Protection of Children’s Rights, as well as the National Certification Authority Electronic and Cyber Security (AKCESK), in close partnership with Unicef Albania, organized at the COD center near the Prime Minister’s Office, the activity to raise awareness and educate children on the safe use of the Internet.
In the meeting moderated by the students of the 9-year schools “Kosova”, “26 Nëntori”, “Vasil Shanto”, previously trained by AKCESK, who already enjoy the status of “Peer educators”, they informed other peers about the dangers that may encounter on the Internet, how to prevent inappropriate and harmful online situations and where to report such situations. The children shared with their peers the application ‘ichild Quiz’ published on the official website of aksk.gov.al, where through the game they test their skills regarding safe internet issues.
