Security and trust in every digital interaction
Achieving a high level of cybersecurity requires appropriate security measures, clear rights and responsibilities, and close cooperation between all actors operating in this field.
This approach safeguards electronic transactions and defines minimum technical standards for protecting data, networks and information systems.

We aim to guarantee the security and reliability of electronic services in Albania through rigorous application of national law and international standards.
We strengthen trust in electronic signatures, electronic identification and trust services while improving the security of networks and information systems nationwide.
Responsibilities
AKSK’s core functions
From national coordination to trusted-service standards.

Coordinates activities with security and defence institutions and cooperates with sectoral CSIRTs and international authorities in accordance with applicable legislation.

Defines cybersecurity measures at national level.

Serves as the central point of contact for responsible operators and coordinates the resolution of cybersecurity incidents.

Acts as the national CSIRT.

Provides methodological assistance and support to responsible operators in the field of cybersecurity.

Carries out cybersecurity awareness and education activities.

Registers and accredits trust service providers and supervises their activity.

Inspects the methods used to generate and manage public keys and electronic certificates.

Supervises qualified electronic certificates and the implementation of electronic signatures, electronic identification and other trust services.

Ensures that secure identification standards are applied to individuals receiving qualified electronic certificates.
