AKSK holds consultative meeting to enhance children’s online safety

The National Cybersecurity Authority (AKSK) held a consultative meeting with representatives of Internet Service Providers (ISPs), ASHDMF, AKEP, the Ministry of Education, the State Police, and other institutions to discuss the implementation of the “School Mode / ChildSafe” model for internet access within school environments.

The meeting focused on strengthening the protection of children in the digital space and preventing online incidents, addressing both the technical and legal aspects of filtering illegal content, as well as best practices followed in European countries.

The project предусматриes content filtering at the DNS level within educational institutions’ networks, as well as the expansion of this model beyond school environments, through cooperation with ISPs to enable restricted internet access for users identified as children.

The meeting also served to gather feedback and recommendations from key stakeholders and highlighted the need to build an integrated and coordinated approach among responsible institutions, in order to design and implement a sustainable model for protecting children online.
