International Conference “Shaping the Future of GovTech”, where Albania hosts the region to discuss the digital revolution as a new power of good governance

The regional conference “The Future of GovTech”, organized by NAIS, reaffirmed Albania’s vision for advancing digital transformation and cybersecurity as two inseparable processes that go hand in hand. With the presence of Prime Minister Edi Rama and key leaders from the region, the role of technology in modernizing governance, increasing transparency and improving the lives of citizens was emphasized.

The Director of the National Cyber Security Authority, Mr. Igli Tafa, underlined the importance of cybersecurity that goes hand in hand with digital transformation, emphasizing that Albania has managed to provide 1,247 electronic services. He praised the efforts of the National Agency for Information Society, under the leadership of Ms. Linda Karçanaj, for building a sustainable and reliable digital infrastructure, including advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and blockchain.

The “Future of GovTech” conference proved that Albania has not only made great strides in digital transformation, but is also building a secure and innovative model that inspires the region and creates opportunities for new collaborations. Technology and security are becoming the two main pillars of the country’s sustainable development.
