Tirana – An important step towards common digital protection was taken with the signing of the cooperation agreement between the General Director of the National Cyber Security Authority (NCSA) of Albania, Mr. Igli Tafa, and his Italian counterpart, Mr. Bruno Frattasi, Director of the Italian Cyber Security Agency.
This strategic agreement aims to strengthen cooperation in key areas, including the exchange of information on cyber threats, the sharing of best practices and the strengthening of technological capacities, benefiting from the expertise and experiences of both countries. It also includes the prevention and management of cyber incidents, to minimize the risk from ever-increasing threats, as well as the development of joint strategic projects, to support the sustainability of critical infrastructures in the Adriatic region.
General Director of NCSA, Mr. Igli Tafa, emphasized the importance of this cooperation, stating: “Today is an important day for our country, as we managed to sign the cooperation agreement with the Italian state for the improvement of the cyberspace of both countries. This cooperation will contribute to the separation of cyber experiences and threats, which are already stateless. The joint assistance between Italy and Albania is expected to bring significant improvements in the cyber security of both countries.”
This cooperation represents an essential step in increasing the security and stability of the digital infrastructures of Albania and Italy, consolidating strong bilateral relations and creating a common front in the face of global cyber challenges.
